Marlon SamuelsBowling first after winning the toss, West Indies wrapped up the Bangladeshis for 227 all out in 49.1 overs. It was a batting failure for the Tigers as they slipped to 110 for 5 in the 23rd over but recovered to post a modest total thanks to Mahmudullah’s 52 (from 70 balls with 3 fours and a six). Off spinner Sohag Gazi contributed a useful 30 (from 36 balls) as well. For the Windies, Sunil Narine claimed 4 for 37 in 10 overs.

The run chase was comfortably set up by a 109-run stand for the second wicket between Kieran Powell (47 from 59 balls) and Marlon Samuels, who went onto score a 4th ODI hundred. Samuels got out after scoring 126 (from 149 balls with 17 fours and 2 sixes) and left the park with Windies on the brink of a victory. Abdur Razzak bowled well for his 2 for 34 in 10 overs to stretch the West Indies’ innings till the 47th over.
