While Pune Warriors comfortably beat Kings XI Punjab by 7 wickets in their opening fixture, Kochi Tuskers Kerala went down to Royal Challengers Bangalore by 6 wickets in their first match of the competition.
Both teams are making their debut in the Indian Premier League.
