The Chennai Super Kings-Victoria Group A Match at Port Elizabeth ended in an exciting tie and the winner was decided through the Super Over. It was Victoria winning via the Super Over thanks to their Skipper David Hussey's big hitting which saw them pile up 23 runs while CSK could only make 13 in the Super Over.

Batting first after winning the toss, Chennai Super Kings through a stylish 73 (from 53 balls with 5 fours and 4 sixes) by opener Murali Vijay posted 162 for 6. In reply, Victoria got off to a blistering start from Aarom Finch (41 from 17 balls with 4 fours and 3 sixes). The target appeared to be ridiculously easy until Muralitharan made life difficult with his four overs that were taken for just 17 runs. Muralitharan also took two wickets in two balls to help CSK bounce back in the game.

Victoria were still the favourites to win the match but when David Hussey (51 from 45 balls) was dismissed in the 19th over, it was a very difficult task ahead. They needed 12 runs to win from the final over which saw a six and a four being struck. But at the same time, Victoria lost three wickets to get bowled out exactly for 162! Suresh Raina was the man with the golden arm for CSK taking 4 for 26 in his 4 overs and he was the one who bowled the final over.
